Emma Eaton and our newest Board Member Alex Rice did double time with Cumberland and Calapooia Watershed at the 2025 Albany Nonprofit Networking Event.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers!

 

This is what they did:

  • Clear the basement

    • Remove cabinets & fixtures

    • Demolish drywall ceilings & partitions​

  • Remove exterior elements

    • Wood steps and landing on west side*​

    • Wood ramp and landing on east side*

    • Ground-mounted  sign on north side

  • Work with Moving Company to finish preparation​s

Albany Cumberland Community Events Center

On Friday, April 19th, 2024, we were joined by a team of 10 volunteers led by Craig Olbrich from Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. Apex Property Clearing & Recycling LLC provided a trailer for demolition debris. The crew worked four hours, and it was amazing!

Because Cumberland events aren't just about having a good time - we're working to preserve history and grow community.

 

Event volunteers give between 2-3 hours at a time, depending on the project. 

​

Shifts include activities like greeting, setup or take-down of event tables or food, hosting, and decorating.
